Congratulations to the 2 new winners of the CALYM-Janssen donation 2020 edition!

This is project ProLyPhy-GEP of Dr Sylvain Lamure and Jérôme Moreaux and project refractory mantle cell lymphoma of Dr Morgane Cheminant.

Following the 2019 edition, a new CALYM grant, was launched in September 2020. The CALYM team received very good quality cases which were, once again, difficult to decide. The jury was made up of Prof. Laurence de Leval, Prof. Franck Morschhauser, Dr. Steven Le Gouill, and Dr. Pierre Sujobert. Dr. Florence Broussais and Emmanuel Gomez also issued a LYSARC / CALYM feasibility study.

The 2 winning projects:

  • Sylvain Lamure and Jérôme Moreaux (CHU Montpellier/IGMMontpellier / CNRS UMR 9002-CNRS-UM – Institute of Human Genetics) : Genes expression associated with treatment resistance in Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma associated with occupational pesticide exposure
  • Dr Morgane Cheminant (INSERM U1163, Institut Imagine) : Clinical-Biological Characterization of Very High Risk Mantle Cell Lymphomas
They will each receive € 20,000 to complete their project.

The awards were presented during the CALYM Scientific Committee, which was held as a virtual edition, in the presence of Sophie Beauclair (Scientific Manager Hematology) from Janssen.

The CALYM Carnot Institute and Janssen are delighted to be able to support these 2 projects which will work to improve the care of patients with a poor prognosis.
